CIVITAS Forum Conference 2021: Smart routes towards climate-neutral cities

20-22 October 2021 Germany, Aachen

The 18th edition of the CIVITAS Initiative’s flagship event on sustainable mobility and transport will take place on 20-21 October 2021 hosted by Aachen, Germany, bringing together experts and practitioners from across the continent to explore the role of transport in paving the way towards building climate-neutral cities by – and for – citizens in Europe.

Over the course of the event’s two days, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the role of mobility and transport in creating climate-neutral cities, as well as how local authorities can engage support from the Commission to help them to shape and stimulate local economies towards the goal of creating 100 climate-neutral cities in Europe by 2030.

SPROUT will be present at the conference with the presentation: “Preparing for an uncertain future: the SPROUT approach to develop narrative and visual scenarios for cities”, which is part of session 14: “Paths to a greener city planning”.

The event will gather the keenest mobility minds to debate and analyse innovation in smart, inclusive and sustainable mobility, and will offer space to exchange and connect with city representatives, policymakers, practitioners, planners, NGOs, and academics.

This event is free of charge and will take place on 20-21 October 2021 as a hybrid event (both online and in-person in Aachen).
