The Transport Research Center – TRANSyT started its activity in 2003 and it’s the first and oldest research center of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (the Technical University of Madrid). Since then TRANSyT hasn’t stopped to grow in size, becoming a meeting point for specialists in different fields of transport R + D + i activities, ranging from planning, management, going through technology, the environmental impacts and the economy.
TRANSyT’S research portfolio ranges from fundamental research to the development of mobility strategies for tomorrow. In this way, it contributes the scientific and technical expertise and since its creation, it has fostered the development of the next generation of researchers by the training of PhD Students in an international field, through the continuous participation in Framework Programs and Horizon 2020 projects of the European Union and also in National Research Plans, provides expert advisory services to government and collaborates with public – private companies.
