The Municipality of Padova is the local government entity of the City of Padua and it’s responsible for all administrative functions concerning population and municipal territory, such as community services, planning and land use and economic development. The Municipality has about 1.600 employees and 21 Departments.

The city of Padova, in the Veneto Region, north-east of Italy, has a population of around 210,000 inhabitants, plus about 57,000 University students. Padova is included in the Padua-Treviso-Venice Metropolitan area, one of the largest Italian economies and one of the most successful areas in the world as for tourism, and it boosts a traditional export-oriented manufacturing vocation.

Its strength is a high concentration of SMEs and a successful network of industrial clusters. Padua is an important commercial and communications crossroad for the whole Region. Besides being a remarkable economic centre, it is also a renowned cultural centre and rich in valued history sights.
